De Brandweer-kantine.

About the Brandweerkantine

“Feed your fire.”

The former fire station of Maastricht is now a creative hotspot and home to a drum school, a modelling agency, a music agent, a photographer, a design studio, the editorial staff of a magazine, and a bicycle repair shop. The restaurant, De Brandweerkantine, fills the space that previously housed the fire engines. Take a seat and enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of traditional Limburg vlaai (sweet tart) or come for a tasty breakfast, lunch, or dinner, De Brandweerkantine is the perfect place for people who enjoy the good things in life and who are looking for a trendy but quiet café terrace away from the busy city centre. Freelancers and self-employed people come here to shift mountains of work at the working space that was made by converting the old wash basin for fire hoses. Can you spot the old sliding pole?
