On the former site of the Sphinx earthenware factory, a new residential area is emerging in the most exciting part of Maastricht. A collaboration of Maastricht developers RO Groep and 3W Real Estate under the name 'Living in the Sphinx Quarter'. The architecture of the apartments refers to the industrial past of the Sphinx Quarter and the names of the building blocks subtly refer to former tableware sets of the Sphinx: Cielo, Gustav, Amonet, Miller, Faenza and Recamier. All homes are gasless and are heated and cooled by the residual heat from Sappi. The streets are car-free and as a resident you can reach your own home directly from the underground parking garage. The first residents have already moved in.
